Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Hospice

Position Summary

Safro Staffing is partnering with a hospice care organization seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide personal care and support to patients facing life-limiting illnesses. The CNA will work closely with the interdisciplinary hospice team to assist patients with activities of daily living, promote comfort and dignity, and provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the end-of-life journey.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and repositioning
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse
• Record and maintain accurate patient care documentation
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and families
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration as appropriate
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
• Follow established hospice care plans and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other members of the hospice care team
• Support patient comfort, dignity, and quality of life at all times

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Previous hospice, home health, long-term care, or direct patient care experience preferred
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in patient homes and community settings
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients with mobility needs
